Merchants/Installers

The market for microCHP, having got off to a slow start, is destined to become a major part of this sector as several new products enter the market and the Government commits to strong incentives in the form of the Feed-in-Tariff, all at a time of increasing energy prices driving the trend towards greater energy efficiency.

Genlec’s Kingston microCHP is one of the new breed of heating appliances that will satisfy these trends, offering consumers lower energy bills whilst significantly reducing carbon emissions.

For example, a PV system installed on a domestic roof, costing £12,000 and generating c.1700kWh p.a. compares to a microCHP product installed for less than a fraction of the price and generating at least the same amount of electricity. As the high Feed-in-Tariffs for PV are becoming squeezed the sustainable growth of the microCHP market looks strong.
