1) When will Kingston be available commercially?

Kingston microCHP is expected to be available in 2012 following commercial trials during the winter 2011/2012

2) What will the price of Kingston be?

Whilst pricing for the Kingston boiler has not yet been established it is anticipated that it will be the lowest priced microCHP appliance on the market because of Genlec’s intelligent use of existing technology and components to create the Kingston appliance.
There is currently no price set for Kingston, However when in volume production it is expected to give a rapid payback to the homeowner.

4) How do I become a registered installer for Kingston?

Installation partners will need to be a registered MCS certified installer (more information available from http://www.microgenerationcertification.org/). If you are interested in becoming a registered installer then please contact the Company with details.

5) How can I apply to use my house as a test house for Kingston?

There is a limited scope to be included in current commercial trials, please email the Company if interested.

6) What is the heat output from Kingston?

Kingston is currently designed to be an 18kW heat output device with a 1kW electrical output.

7) How efficient is Kingston?

Kingston is designed to compete with high efficiency gas condensing boilers, achieving an overall efficiency circa. 90%

8) Is Kingston available outside the UK?

The product is initially designed for the UK market. However, it is compatible with other markets and interested parties are welcome to contact the Company to discuss.

9) Will Kingston qualify for the Government's Feed-in-Tariff Scheme?

Yes, providing Kingston is installed by a registered MCS (Microgeneration Certification Scheme) installer then Kingston will qualify for Feed-in-Tariff. The current rate is 10p per kWh of electricity generated.

10) Does Kingston work with other fuels?

The Kingston will initially be available for use with natural gas and LPG, there are plans in the future to develop Kingston for use with other fuels such as Oil and Bio-fuel
